JOB DESCRIPTION

Hehmeyer LLC, formerly known as HTG Capital Partners LLC, is a Chicago-based proprietary trading firm that trades futures, options, US government securities, foreign exchange and various OTC markets.

The main responsibility of this position is to maintain and improve a proprietary ultra-low latency trading platform and expand its functionality and connectivity to exchanges worldwide. Specific tasks include:

• Optimize software code to achieve greater efficiency and lower latency
  

• Fine tune hardware, operating system and network configurations to achieve optimal performance
  

• Research and integrate new technologies into trading infrastructure
  

• Expand trading platform's functionality to accommodate trading requirements
  

• Build connection to more exchanges worldwide
  

• Create tools, methods and environment to facilitate collaboration and remote communications
  

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: 

　Required: 

• Experience with building trading platform
  

• Exceptional C++ programming skills in a Linux environment
  

• Expert knowledge of designing multi-threaded applications
  

• Expert knowledge of networks and operating systems
  

• Familiar with exchange protocols
  

• 4+ years hands on development experience 
  

Preferred: 

• Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or its equivalent
  

• Familiar with Python, C#, QT
  

• Experience in developing options trading software
